Roly Poly chair. Aluminium

£20,200

Roly Poly chair stands on four chunky legs with a deep, dish-shaped seat cast in solid aluminium. Roly Poly is a design icon, held in the permanent collections of leading design institutions and international art museums.

  • 61 (h) × 85 (w) × 59 (d) cm

  • Aluminium. Naked, anodised finish

  • Hand produced in the UK by skilled craftsmen, one piece at a time. Each piece is handmade, resulting in natural variation in colour and texture. As aluminium is a natural material, the anodised finish will fade gradually over time.

  • As a design studio, we consider custom requests where appropriate. Bespoke dimensions, finishes and colours can be explored, with each request reviewed on a case-by-case basis to ensure the integrity of the design.

Our sales team can guide you through the process, and offer drawings and samples to review where needed. Make an enquiry to find out more.

  • Made to order (6-8 week lead time). We offer UK and international delivery. As all items are made to order, shipping costs vary according to the piece, destination and access requirements, and are quoted at the time of enquiry. International transit typically takes 1-2 weeks by air freight, excluding any time held in customs. Wooden crating may be recommended for certain products and is charged separately. Both curbside and white glove delivery options are available, with logistics support and tracking provided throughout. Before placing an order, we recommend checking access to ensure the piece can be delivered safely into its final setting. Guidance on measuring access is available on request. Where appropriate, an access check by a delivery professional can also be arranged. Please contact our team for further information.

Generous proportions and a low stance give Roly Poly chair a grounded presence. Cast in metal Roly Poly chair takes on industrial character and a curving, reflective surface.

Each piece is individually cast and hand-finished, with subtle striations across the tactile metal surface.

“The forms are autobiographical. I cannot help but make the work personal. I had children and Roly Poly arrived. Round, plump, full, soft.”
