Sculpture coffee table

£9,600

Sculpture is an oak veneered, block constructed table draped in three layers of white automotive paint. The lacquered finish of the marbled paint looks like stone, referencing trompe l’oeil furniture traditions. Sculpture reveals its raw materials, showing the layers of paint dripping down its oak legs.

Three tones of white automotive paint are hand-poured and marbled across the tabletop, then allowed to flow down oak legs, creating unique surface patterns on each piece.

Sculpture plays with tradition. Industrial materials interpret historical trompe l’oeil techniques.

A bold, sculptural centrepiece that captures the presence of a stone table, but boasts the warmth and softness of wood.
