Spade bar stool
£6,600
Spade bar stool is a taller variation on the minimal Spade form. Three long legs emerge from a shallow seat dish. Sand-cast in solid aluminium, the surface retains distinct marks from the casting process. A brushed and ground finish gives the metal an irregular, molten-like character.

In Spade form is reduced to its essentials, with material and process allowed to remain visible. Spade’s minimal legs emerge from a shallow seat dish.

Originally made in sycamore, Spade has since been realised in more industrial materials and variants. Aluminium introduces a different surface quality, while retaining Spade’s underlying geometry and restraint.

Spade was Faye Toogood’s first furniture design. An ode to her rural childhood spent mostly outdoors in the English countryside.
